About Add Freedom Scooters Inc.
Add Freedom Scooters Incorporated was established in 2018 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by Company Founder Gerry Dyck.

How it all started...
​
On May 5, 1991 Gerry Dyck survived a severe traumatic brain injury while training for the Canadian Skydiving Nationals with an 8 person free fall formation team.
After a one month coma and a years of rehab he found simply walking to be a significant challenge. Walking was a chore and not fun.
Previously, Gerry was a Land Surveyor since high school and spent the summer of 1985 jumping with the Canadian Team and moved to Calgary in fall of 1985 to get his BSc in Survey (Geomatics) Engineering.

After working for IBM for their intensive marketing training for experience and then became Marketing Coordinator at Challenger Survey Engineering, 2 years after graduation, he survived the mid-air collision that knocked him out at about 2,000 ft and collapsed his parachute.
After landing in a soft, freshly ploughed field, a STARS helicopter saved his life after he hit the ground under his spinning collapsed parachute.
Gerry’s marketing past and his present life situation convinced him to enable others to be able to add freedom to their lives.

Gerry spent over a year researching and buying a few selected 3-wheel and 4-wheel recreational & mobility scooters for different applications, in an effort to find the best ones in the world.

The scooters that his company Add Freedom Scooters sells are all from reliable and accessible scooter manufacturers in China, Canada and the United States.

All of our electric scooters are built tough, offer a long driving distance range on a single charge, have top-quality frames and electronic components and most importantly, are affordable.
A Message From The President of Add Freedom Scooters:
“Walking is a chore, and not fun for me.
I live in Calgary, but going to the Stampede midway doesn’t happen. Whenever I walk, I have to look where I might fall instead of attractions.
I had never thought about using or needing a scooter until I happened on an opportunity to buy one, and it changed my life.
It’s a new lifestyle that is thrilling, yet so practical. It adds so much to life, it truly adds a new freedom. I see a lot of sights and activities now, all the time, which I hadn’t seen in many years.

I interact with a wide variety of people, and it’s so healthy to get out and circulate.

And so the Add Freedom Scooters corporation was launched in 2018 and the company has grown exponentially, to become a nation-wide electric scooter company, with our 2nd headquarters located in Hamilton, which services all of Eastern Canada.
​
The Hamilton warehouse, repair centre and sales office is currently run by Geoff Warren who is also a firm believer in electric vehicles and has many decades of experience in sales, marketing and customer relations.
